After a long break from working on the site due to school, the site is updated. I have new poetry up under New Works on the Portfolio page. I have added a couple of music tracks, articles, and assignments from school also on the Portfolio page. I do have to update the products page soon, but you can check it out for my Zazzle products. I really can't think of what else has been done since it has been done during the course of a few days. Of course, working on the site until nearly 1 in the morning doesn't help either. Ahh, the odd hours a writer keeps.

Especially when the writer has nothing but time to write. School is out for the summer and I can't afford summer classes, so until I can find a job, I am around, updating my site, my computer files and of course, writing. My ideal job would be doing something with writing. Or office work. Oddly enough, I find it soothing to file and organize.

What I really want to do is start my own business. But what and how?

That is something I'm going to have to sleep on.

Good Afternoon Folks,

I have added a few things to the products page. I have finally started on my own little custom poetry shop. Granted, I am working with limited resources, but  I hope that my words will impress people more than the visual presentation. Unless there are some graphic designers that are willing to help me.... I have also created an account on Zazzle. Hopefully in terms of my custom poetry, it will help me put my work on unique products that people may want to buy for their loved ones.

So my plea is really for ideas on how to present my work on just plain ol' paper (or PDF for online presentation and downloads). If anyone has any ideas on how I can upgrade myself from Microsoft Word Templates, I would really appreciate it.

But in the meantime, please check out my products page and my page on Zazzle.

I have completed the transfer of my portfolio! You can find it all here in the portfolio section.

There is no poems in K, X or Z for now. I never wrote a poem with a title starting with those letters.

All the other folders are complete. Now I will start typing up my new work and be putting them up here.

Should I create a separate section so you know what's been new since September 2008?

I will miss the blog that I once stored my poems. The only benefit to that was that I was able to group them by everything I wrote before 2006 and everything I wrote after. It's okay. It doesn't matter. If you judge me by one of my earlier poems and choose not to look at all the others, then you are losing out.

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone has been having a good start to their new year.

I have been busy with this site since I have gone on my winter break. My hope is to have it pretty much done by the time I have to go back for the spring semester.

I have added a Forum though I have no idea what I am going to do with it. I would really love to start a forum because one, it has been a dream of mine and two, I would love to have a community going here on my site.

I also updated the blog to the new blog application used on webs.com.

More photos have been added to the Photo Gallery, which now holds a total of 6 albums.

I have been exploring custom item and self-publishing sites. I have made a few amateur shops on CafePress.com.

I also plan on self-publishing books through Blurb.com. I added a Products page for everyone to see my pages on those sites. I also plan on adding some freebies I have gotten to share with you. They will also be on the Products page.

The last bit of news, but not the least is the update on my portfolio.

The completed sections of the poetry section are #'s through J, L, Q, R, V and Y. The ones which still need to be added are K, M through P, S through U, W, X, and Z. I also have to add all my new poetry from the last year, plus a short story, some more scratchy, using a computer mic spoken word tracks, and I will have to add a journalism section which will be continuely updated through out my spring semester.

Sometimes I am proud of the other things I create over time. I decided to make my portfolio page more than just a portfolio for writing. I just added my instrumentals I made during my time at Queensborough (not all of them, just the ones I have on here). I also added a spoken word track and added a link to the photo gallery to the portfolio. All the tracks suck but they are mine and they show that I at least did something. So I guess you can check them out. Well, off to be a college student and write a paper.

Today I added another album to my photo gallery. Check it out. I also blogged on my views on religion and sex, based on a note I saw on Facebook. You can check out the inspiration to my blog entry here.

I hope to get more photos up in the gallery soon. Hopefully my planned photo session with life this weekend will produce something to be put up.

I've been thinking about transitioning from having my portfolios on blogs to having them on my website. Today, I decided that it will definitely be happening. I discovered through the process of putting my blog entries of my poems into Word Documents that someone copied my work from February 2007 to April 2007. I had clicked on a comment I had gotten and when I looked at the profile, I saw that this person took the majority of what I had in my profile a while back, only modified to fit him. I decided to look around the site and saw that this man from Sweden copied and/or modified 16 of my poems from the time period just mentioned. I am so furious. All I want to do now is fly on a plane and kick this man's butt and then watch him take down all the stuff from his site. In the very near future, you will see my poetry portfolio on here. And trust me, it will be password protected and all.

I have deleted all of my blogs except the poetry one and the Songkiss'd one from Blogger. So if you see some random entries on here, it's because they are from Blogger. I will say that I am a human with a life so I do not care what you see here. Every professional is also a PERSONal. Plus sometimes the best stuff is the real day to day thoughts.

So with that said, let all of the transitions begin. My photography portfolio is now on the site, under Photo Gallery.

I have re-did my resume section of my site. Instead of having the whole thing on there, you now can view it as a PDF. I have my personal and my studio resume up. Hopefully I can one day complete my writing resume so that people can see I am qualified for jobs, but I need to get writing jobs first!

I really like messing around and tweaking with the site. I wish I knew what else I can add to it. It's kind of hard because it doubles as a portfolio/business. But I would also like to have a personal touch to it because it does represent me (hence the music, which you can pause, on the site). I am Christina D. Rodriguez. I do have hobbies and interests. I wish I could incorporate everything into the site.

I really don't have much to update on except that. I am not good at constant blogging unless I have a topic to work on. Any suggestions?
